I parody of "I Will Survive" that I did with a couple of my friends for our Calculus and Physics classes. Lyrics: At first I was afraid, what could the answer be? It said given this position find velocity. So I tried to work it out, but I knew that I was wrong. I struggled; I cried, "A problem shouldn't take this long!" I tried to think, control my nerve. It's evident that speed's tangential to that time-position curve. This problem would be mine if I just knew that tangent line. But what to do? Show me a sign! So I thought back to Calculus. Way back to Newton and to Leibniz, And to problems just like this. And just like that when I had given up all hope, I said nope, there's just one way to find that slope. And so now I, I will derive. Find the derivative of x position with respect to time. It's as easy as can be, just have to take dx/dt. I will derive, I will derive. Hey, hey! And then I went ahead to the second part. But as I looked at it I wasn't sure quite how to start. It was asking for the time at which velocity Was at a maximum, and I was thinking "Woe is me." But then I thought, this much I know. Some have asked about the "low notes" that come out when I hit those two keys up top - those are guitar effects built in the patch and for whatever reason, Yamaha put those effects on the high keys. I made the background beat using FL Studio. I start the beat by hitting the space-bar on my computer keyboard before I play on the synth. PS. I've read some reviews of this vid as if I'm trying to be a "keytar" player (apparently not a desirable thing, but how can you not like Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein") and that I should just play a real guitar. LOL @ some of those same people who probably play guitar hero (nothing against it but hopefully you see my point)! The irony! The point is, folks, if you find a fun/inspiring sound to jam with, by all means, you should JAM WITH IT! I don't care if you find a $3.00 plastic trumpet. Don't worry about the technicalities and what people say. In the long run it's about the fun that YOU have making music. Thanks for watching!!!

Joy Division Love will tear us apart New Video BBC version
A new video by Jonathan Beamish for the earliest recorded version of the song produced as a John Peel Session for the BBC in 1979. The original band footage is a mixture of a performance video shot by the band for the single release (minus the damaged shots) and live concert excerpts from Plank, Brussels and the Apollo, Manchester. . We needed to do some tricky retiming and editing to sync it up with the footage which is from completely different versions of the song. Odd to discover that much of the original performance video done for the single release wasn't edited properly with much of the shots of the band playing not cut accurately to the audio.
