Trigger Trailer
Synopsis Trigger is the story of a friendship between two women. Victoria "Vic" Sawchyn and Kathryn "Kat" Lake are friends from childhood who started a neighbourhood band together — sort of like the Go--Go's meet Patti Smith with a little Siouxsie and the Banshees thrown in. Sticking to their rock 'n' roll dream, they continued to trade up bands until they began to have real success with a hit single and a European tour. On the tour, things went to hell and, due to egos and drugs and rock 'n' roll, the band imploded as did the friendship. Now it's 10 years later and a local record label is having a benefit concert to honor women in rock; Vic and Kat are expected to attend. They meet for dinner and it is clear that, although there is a desire to make amends, it's unclear to each of the women who really needs to apologize. As we travel with them on a trip to the concert and a late night after--party, their stories are revealed and the true nature of their friendship is discovered.

I proposed by hacking Chrono Trigger
On October 17th, 2008, I proposed to my (now)wife. Originally I wanted to return to the site of our first date, Mount Baker, near Bellingham Washington. Sadly, there was no discreet way to get her out there. So I turned to the next best thing, digitally recreating the mountain! But why stop there? I figured I'd try and recreate many of our other favorite memories -- stargazing, dancing, even her favorite song lyrics (from the Princess Bride). I'm a college student who is studying Computer Science, and I wanted to do something unique that used my talents, so I did some research on Rom hacking, as she was playing through Chrono Trigger. (A perennial favorite of mine, I can't wait to buy it for my DS.) I even put in her cat, Cleo! I had several goals in mind: First) Keep the area in the context of the original game, the proposal should be a surprise. Second) Get it done quick! I had the ring, I had the Father's blessing, and you can't sit on either of those for too long. You'll notice some of the NPC collision information is missing (the cat runs through a lot of weird places) and I didn't have time to properly debug every tile. Third) Place memories that might be poignant enough to remind her of our relationship, while not inadvertently giving away that this was somehow hacked.(See goal #1.) Overall, it was a resounding success. She had no idea that this wasn't part of the original. She asked, "Hey, are those the Princess Bride lyrics? Do the Japanese really love that movie <b>...</b>

Mini-14 Trigger Job: "The Yoda G Mod"
It only took me 28 years to finally get a really nice trigger in a Mini-14. It was something I always wanted to do but never go around to do doing...until now! Here experienced Impact Guns gunsmith Terry Gardner (call sign from me: "Yoda G") opens up his shop and candidly shows his technique on achieving a crisp, 2-stage 3.5 lb trigger pull on this Mini-14 Tactical model. Don't kid yourself though. While Terry makes it look easy and downplays the difficulty, there will be many opportunities for you to dick it up if you try it yourself (I've learned this on other guns myself). Without the over-travel stop, the cost is $65, shipping of your trigger group not included. Is it worth it? Absolutely. In hard cored Nutnfancy RunNGuns, this little Mini-14 Tactical (later DuraCoated in "Sagebrush" color by me) rocked out some impressive scores (results shown). Will it compensate for your bad technique? Nope. Trigger and breath control are always key to connecting accurately, stress or no stress. But this trigger job will make it easier to fire quicker and connect more readily at extended ranges (200 yds for example). And just as important, it will increase your pride of ownership in your Mini and impress your friends too. My Pal Trigger
Gabby refuses to breed his horse the Golden Sovereign with Roy's. When the Sovereign and Roy's horse escape, Skoville shoots the Sovereign by mistake but Roy is blamed and jailed. A year later Roy returns with Trigger, the son of the Sovereign. When Skoville slips and reveals he was present when the horse was shot, Roy sees a chance to clear his name.
Tips for walking the trigger
This show is some tips for walking the trigger. I assume the people who are most interested in walking the trigger, are playing semi auto. The first thing you have to do is find a gun that is designed for semi auto play. Without a doubt, the best semi auto trigger in paintball is one where the pivot is behind the trigger, not in front of it. Any Bob Long gun, Dye Ultralite Frames, Infinity Legend, FEP Quest, all make great triggers for semi auto play. The biggest issue I see with people trying to walk the trigger is they hold the trigger down with the first finger, when they tap it with the second trigger. This causes missed trigger pulls. My suggestion, and how I pull the trigger, is by sticking my fingers all the way into the guard, and using the area behind the 1st knuckles. Then, hit the trigger guard with your fingernails or back of your fingers, this way you purposely come off the trigger before the next pull. It just takes practice, but walking the trigger is easy and you'll pick it up in no time!

S&W Airweight Trigger Job: "The Yoda G Mod"
The little Smith and Wesson Airweight revolvers have a lot going for them. Generally speaking, a good trigger isn't one of them. Yes I'm particular in my triggers but a smoother, lighter pull on your Airweight can equate in better accuracy and more enjoyable shooting. Here we check in again with Terry G of Impact Guns to get a trigger job on the S&W 638 Bodyguard. I show lots of the details as Terry stones the parts and discusses the Smith lockwork on this gun (fascinating by itself). Be sure to thank Terry for this, as there are FEW gunsmiths that would open up their shops like this. (he is a big supporter and viewer of TNP himself). Viewers should use caution if they choose to do the jobs themselves; there are opportunities for failure in steps that Terry makes look easy. You assume all risk if you attempt your own job. Also a quality spring kit, like the Wison Combat one shown, should be used in quality trigger job. Smith and Wesson recommends against cutting the the stock springs (could result in unreliable ignition). The finished trigger is nothing short of perfection and it was worth the cost (yep, I pay him just like you!). In drills and max accuracy tests, the trigger yielded tighter groups.
