BRIAN fell in love with the guitar from the moment his fingers could move along the guitar strings. BRIAN TARQUIN started lessons in classical guitar at the age of nine in New York City. His fascination with music and the guitar motivated him to spend long hours experimenting and writing music, along with making his own guitars. After attending SUNY New Palyz College for four years, he graduated from the Center For Media Arts in New York City in audio engineering. BRIAN TARQUIN is thoroughly familiar with both music and television production. He is a member of the American Federation of Musician, Local 47. BRIAN TARQUIN has been acclaimed by many critics as having great technique with unique styling. His achievements are great and enduring, BRIAN won the ASCAP Songwriters Award for two consecutive years. Smooth tune from the fine guitarist Brian Tarquin's "Soft Touch' release. Here's "Darlin Darlin Baby".A native New Yorker, he got his start in music by working at such influential jingle houses as Look and Company before relocating to Los Angeles. From there he had the opportunity to compose music for the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics as well as produce TV commercial music for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. His 1996 debut album on Jazz Inspiration/MCA Records, entitled GHOST DANCE, showcased an exciting fusion of jazz, pop and world music. Since 1994 to 1998 ASCAP has honored him with the songwriters achievement award. In October 1997 he exploded onto the scene with the album release LAST KISS GOODBYE on Instinct Records.
