Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android Honeycomb Tablet PC Unboxing & First Look Linus Tech Tips

www.ncix.com Arguably the most "elegant" of the Honeycomb tablets on the market right now. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 lacks some of the features of its competitors such as HDMI out, or a microSDHC slot, but it makes up for it with an incredible screen and a lightweight, elegant form factor & style.

The Tablet Price War Has Begun

Tablets are rapidly dropping in price as everyone is trying to grab a share of the market. HP is having a $99 fire sale for its TouchPad, Lenovo says its 7-inch IdeaPad A1 will cost under $200, and just about every other tablet manufacturer is getting in on the game.

Best Tablet in the World: Archos 80 G9 and Archos 101 G9, my first hands-on

I got lucky enough to be able to play around with the new Archos G9 tablets for a few minutes, they are awesome. Here are some of the features that I think makes this probably one of the best tablets in the world when it comes out in September: - 50% faster than iPad2/Xoom/Transformer/Tab101/etc - Optional unlocked $49 3G Dongle slides in the back - Built-in kick-stand - HDMI-out (1080p All Codecs High Profile High Bitrates) with most powerful Video/Audio/Photo apps on any device with automatic meta-data and Upnp/Samba streaming support - 2x USB Host (one is dedicated for 3G Dongle) - Honeycomb 3.2 with official Google Marketplace pre-installed - Most importantly, starts at $279 for 8", $349 for 10.1", there will be all kinds of options though, 16GB Flash or 250GB hard drive (the 250GB version is likely around $100 more than the 16GB flash version, to be confirmed) This is my first video showing how those tablets are. Look forward to many more videos that I will post about the Archos G9 if I can get some review samples at one point in the next few weeks until and after they are released in September worldwide. I would have liked to see them do 5" and 7" G9 tablets as well to be more pocketable (pants 5" or jacket 7" pockets), but for now, Archos has nothing to announce regarding more sizes for the G9 series, it's open to speculation, my speculation is that it may be the reason for them to have to wait for Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich to come and support more screen ...

HTC Flyer Tablet Review

A video review of the HTC Flyer 7" Android tablet with WiFi. Check out our full review at: www.mobiletechreview.com The Flyer sells for $299 at Best Buy (price drop) and it runs Android OS 2.3.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense software. HTC went with Gingerbread instead of the tablet-centric Honeycomb so they could heavily customize the tablet with HTC Sense widgets, apps and social networking integration. They also added support for an active digitizer pen in addition to capacitive multi-touch, for you note-takers and artists. The pen is sold separately for a steep $79.99.

Hands on - Sony Tablet S1

Shaped like a folded over magazine, Sony's Tablet S is maybe the weirdest looking tablet we've ever seen. But it's also the most comfortable. The 9.4-inch, 1280x800 screen is quite good—less reflective than most—but it's a bit dim. It also comes with a 5MP rear camera. It comes preinstalled with Android honeycomb. Speed on the Tab S is a mixed-bag. When you first boot it up it's easily among the fastest of the Android tablets. Scrolling is smooth, and even complex HD games play very nicely. But once it's been running for a while and you've opened a bunch of applications, things really start slowing down. There were also some strange anomalies, where email wouldn't always sync in realtime. Sometimes the screen would rotate the wrong way, or take a while to catch up. Again, these seem to be more Honeycomb related. Equipped with a 1GHzdual core processor, 1GB of RAM, WIFI, it starts at a base price of just $499. ****VIDEO PRESENTED AND MADE BY GIZMODO.COM***

Asus Transformer Prime Review - The New Tablet King?

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Review - The Android Tablet You Deserve While the iPad will always receive its fair share of media coverage, no tablet has been anticipated more in 2011 than the Transformer Prime. On paper, the device's specs are a tech-lover's dream: Nvidia's new Tegra 3 quad-core processor, an incredible 10.1″ Super IPS+ display, estimated 12 hours of battery (18 hours with dock), 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and a build quality that would make Apple engineers red with envy. Take a look at out our iPad 2/Transformer Prime comparison gallery to see what we mean. Mind you, this isn't the first time we've tangled with a Transformer (no, not the robots). Earlier this year we reviewed the original device and concluded it was one of the best tablets on the market -- and still is. Asus PR hyped up its newest member of the Transformer family pretty high once it was finally announced early last month. Not only that, but there have been plenty of tantalizing rumors, leaks and photos of the Prime, making the wait all that more agonizing. Needless to say, when we received the Eee Pad Transformer Prime last week, we had some high expectations for the Tegra 3-equipped device. Apple's Tablet Vision 1990's

This movie was included in CDs demonstrating Apple's vision of technology Integration into education in 1995. Notice the idea of a tablet with video conferencing capabilities. Augmented Reality on Tablets

While tablet computing may in future transform the whole computer industry, it is already changing the way we look at augmented reality. And this is not only because of the big display. More and more different devices for multiple OS platforms are expected to appear on the market, equipped with advanced sensors such as high-resolution cameras. The cost of data roaming is likely to drop and considering the millions of people expected to buy such a device in the next few years, there are incentives enough for optimizing augmented reality (AR) tablet software and to start creating really useful and fascinating applications taking full advantage of the promising, new capabilities. metaio, with its junaio 2.6 release, a junaio plug-in for third party app integration, and the revised mobile AR SDK Unifeye 2.5, is well prepared and ready to go for the next generation of AR applications. We would like to especially thank www.vanija.ch and www.kreativagentur-thomas.de for their great support on the groundbreaking demos and applications. Motorola Xoom Tablet with Android Honeycomb

www.techlicious.com This is the year of the Android tablet and leading the pack is Motorola's Xoom. It will be the first tablet to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, the version of Android built specifically for tablets. The details on Honeycomb are still light, but we know that the user experience has been improved for features such as widgets, multi-tasking and browsing. And we saw some of those improvement during our demo of the Motorola Xoom. The Xoom browser supports multiple tabs, videos in the browser window and incognito mode, which hides your browsing history. Google Books comes standard, and your picks from its library of 3 million books is synced to your Google account. Google Maps also gets an update with enhanced gesture control and faster rendering, thanks to the Xoom's fast processor. Speaking of the processor, the Xoom's is best in class, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor running at 1 GHz. It has 1GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, plus microSD support for up to an additional 32GB. There's a 10.1-inch widescreen HD display (1280x800), which has the same 16:9 aspect ratio as an HDTV so no bars. It can also play 1080p video through its HDMI output to watch on your TV. Rounding out the package. the Xoom has a front-facing 2MP camera for video chats over Wi-Fi or 3G/4G LTE, as well as a rear-facing 5MP camera that captures video in 720p HD. It features a built-in gyroscope, e-compass, accelerometer and adaptive lighting for new types of applications. And in a ...
