Finland's four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen drove a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible on the hazardous frozen waters of the Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland, at a breathtaking 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h) to set a new world speed record on ice. Kankkunen was in irresistible form with his all-wheel drive, 6-litre, 12-cylinder Continental Supersports convertible which, in line with the Company's CO2 strategy, ran on biofuel. The world's fastest soft top enabled Juha to shatter his own 2007 world ice speed record of 199.83 mph (321.6 km/h) set in the Continental GT at the same location. With the help of his own experienced team and Bentley engineers, Kankkunen overcame the challenges of temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees, sudden snow blizzards and potentially dangerous crosswinds on the 16.5km track on a 70cm-thick layer of sea ice. The record attempt was driven on a 1000m long measured distance with the speed certified by officials from the Finland Traffic Police. His new world record was based on the average of two runs in opposite directions with measured speeds ratified by a representative of The Guinness Book of Records. As with the previous record-breaking drive in the Continental GT the Anglo-Finnish team used a car with minimum modification. Now we suppose that if you've got the jingle to buy an example of this fastest and most powerful Bentley model ever, then you could probably afford to have someone deliver the E85 by the tanker truck to your garage. Otherwise, it won't be easy to find the stuff. Fear not, as the car's W12 engine will make the same horsepower running on regular old premium gasoline, too. Either way, Bentley says that while the Supersports will be available worldwide this fall, cars for the North American market won't be FlexFuel capable until the summer of 2010, following regulatory approval. The first several hundred US-market cars will officially be gas only. Why did Bentley bother with all the ethanol stuff if the car can make the same power on gas? It's the first step in Bentley's plan to make its entire range compatible with renewable fuels by 2012. Bugatti Veyron Supersport Pagani Zonda Cinque

As production of the Bugatti Veyron winds toward its eventual conclusion, Bugatti has created what is likely to be the ultimate version of its world-beating hypercar: the Super Sports. Bugatti sent its official test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel out on Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessian high-speed oval with the first Super Sports to see just what it could do. With representatives of the Guinness book of records and German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) on hand, Raphanel made passes around the big oval in both directions. With output bumped up from 1001 horsepower to 1200 horsepower, torque swelling to 1106 pound-feet and a revised aerodynamic kit, Raphanel managed runs of 265.9 and 269.8 mph for an average terminal velocity of 267.81 mph and a new world record for a production car. The first five production Super Sports will sport the same black and orange finish as the record car and all production models will be electronically limited to 257.9 mph to protect the tires. The Veyron Super Sports will be publicly shown for the first time at the Pebble Beach in August.

So, I wanted to try something new with these cars and add some more Top Gear Style into my reviews. So, anyway we start with another oldie: The Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan. We see how sluggish it is and if EA has done something to remedy it's terribleness. Then we take a look at the new Bentley Continental Supersports and see just how crazy and bewitching it is. Unfortunate Max Hunt is involved in this horrific looking crash at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in Aug 2011. Competing in the Supersports 600 race he lost the bike at the bottom of Graham Hill bend and whilst tumbling down the track he his hit unsighted, directly in the face by a fellow rider travelling at high speed. 'RaceLab' Honda British Supersport racer Max Hunt was airlifted to hospital after the first-lap crash which saw him knocked out cold, and he was immediately taken to the circuit medical centre at Brands Hatch for treatment. He was concussed & therefore he remained in Kings College hospital in London under observation overnight and throughout the day. His condition has now improved to the extent that he has been discharged from hospital. Hunt, 28 from London sustained a high impact head injury, he was treated immediately trackside by the BSB Medical Team before being transferred to the circuit medical centre and then by Air Ambulance to King's College Hospital London for further treatment and assessment. Of the other riders involved; Ed Smith was discharged from the medical centre with minor injuries whilst Anthony Rogers and Lee Johnston were uninjured.
