Yesterday Valencia's Ricardo Tormo circuit hosted the last day of the Finali Mondiali Ferrari 2010, the special event, which for the past eighteen years has given fans from all over the world the opportunity to see gathered together those involved in all Ferrari's racing and sporting activities. On Sunday morning on track were the F430s entered in the Italian, European and North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, fighting it out for the world title. Also in action were the historic cars taking part in the Ferrari Historic Race --Trofeo Shell. The programme also featured untimed sessions for the historic single-seaters run by Maranello's F1 Clienti department and the FXX and 599 XX, entered in the eponymous development programmes. Once again yesterday it fell to the runners in the Ferrari Historic Race -- Trofeo Shell to get the day's action underway, taking to the track for the second and final race. Pierangelo Masselli in a Ferrari 308 GTB made the best getaway off the grid, going straight into the lead, which he was able to keep all the way to the chequered flag. Second was Christian Chavy in his F40, while the third step on the podium went to Canada's Lorne Leibel in a 365 GTB4. Spectacular passing moves and plenty of action were the key ingredients of the final races in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, to crown the world champion from among entrants in the Italian, European and North American series. This is my car, a 500 Abarth finished in Rosso Officina paintjob, custom white Ferrari 430 Scuderia stripes, H&R suspensions and BMC air sport filter. I will put some more modifications to the car in the future such as a new exhaust and an ECU upgrade. In the video you can see my really first time on the track as driver and not as passenger during the Abarth Race Days at the Varano racetrack near Parma. The weather was very bad and the road was incredibly wet. I did two track sessions, the 1st one with the Torque Traction Control OFF and the 2nd with it set ON. This is a replay of a race I thought up and carried out myself. It's simple. I'm in the Ferrari F1 car and I've got some serious driving to do if I want to catch up in a two lap race starting a lap behind. Can you complete the challenge as well? Are you good enough? Rules: - You are in the Ferrari F1 Car - You're racing against category 1 cars - Must be a 2 Lap Race around High Speed Ring (normal direction) - You must start from the pit lane start line as in the video - You can only set off when the AI cars are next to you. You can have any setting on the car you want, however I did this with R3 tyres, no driving line, no traction control, no ASM, no active steering, and manual transmission. If you post a video response of your attempt be honest with what you used. Nobody really cares anyway, we all just like a good video :) So, post your 'video responses' to show what you can do, whether you almost got it or trounced it, I'd like to see your attempts win or lose!
