The BMW M3 is one of the finest driver's cars ever made, and I was finally lucky enough to spend a week with one. The heart of the M3 is an exquisite 4.0L V8, making 414hp at a wild 8300rpm. Peak torque is 295 lb-ft, but that entire figure is available at just 3900rpm, a stunning mark of tractability in such a high-revving screamer. Our test car was equipped with a 7-speed DCT (BMW's name for the fancy dual-clutch gearbox), and the transmission—like other vehicle characteristics like throttle response and suspension—can be adjusted from 'nice and easy' to 'neckbreaking.' 2011 M3s equipped with this transmission have gone as low as 3.9 sec to 60mph, and 12.5 sec in the 1/4-mile. Yet due to the engine's powerband, it's remarkably civilized around town. Gearing is perfect; even in 7th gear, the car is never caught flat-footed. In fact, at 2000rpm in 7th the car will be going just 50mph! That is great for acceleration, bad for fuel economy: the M3 manages just 14 mpg city and 20 highway and gets slapped with the gaz-guzzler tax. The 2011 Toyota Tacoma remains the preeminent midsize truck in its class; dependable, reliable, and perfect for hauling cargo or equipment. Host Ross Rapoport spent a week driving in the Tacoma and his impressions have remained unchanged since his last review of the same truck. Much like its competitors, the Tacoma's last redesign was the better part of a decade ago, but has led the pack thanks to its variety of cab-styles and sizes. Tacoma has been dominate in all areas of the competition, from the drivetrain to the interior and exterior aesthetics. For starters, we had the V6 Tacoma, its engine is a 4.0 liter V6 that boasts 236 and an impressive 266 pound feet of torque, and any body style can come in either two wheel drive or four wheel drive. Gas mileage isn't great, you get 16 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway, but it's not exactly a surprise out of a heavy work truck. Our test Tacoma is capable of hauling over 3 tons, and its interior is the most comfortable and roomy out of its competitors. Amenities are decent; satellite radio, bluetooth, GPS, plenty of ample headroom, cupholders galore. The backseat is incredibly spacious as well, our double cab was more than capable of handling a few passengers. And as an added bonus, the rear seats can lift open, revealing a work table underneath, a very handy feature for onsite usage. Some Tacoma buyers may find that the 4-banger engine that Tacoma offers might be better suited towards their needs, but we preferred the <b>...</b>

The dash and interior materials are made from Japanese ash wood, giving a the M56 a unique and timeless aesthetic. Comfortability and luxury are not a problem here. Altogether the Infiniti M56, sold as the Nissan Fuga in Japan, is a seductive competitor to such European hallmarks as the BMW 5-Series or the Mercedes-Benz E550 and is hot on their heels in terms of desirability and driving enthusiasm.
