volcanoseven.com for a tribute to Steve Ihnat. Steve Ihnat guest-starred in The Case of the Duplicate Case in Perry Mason's Season 8, airing April 22 1965. It's fun to compare Ihnat's perfromance as an aggressive, even pushy, salesman, with his laid back perfromance as Lt. Minns in The Twilight Zone's The Inheritors just five months earlier. He has three scenes (plus some reaction shots that I didn't include.) Two of the scenes are pre- murder, his final scene is the denoument scene. That final scene also has an actor named Don Dubbins, a name you probable wont recognize but a face you probably will. Also in the denoument scene of course is Raymond Burr as Perry Mason. Steve will act with Burr again in a 1967 episode of Ironside (Season 1, ep 15, The 14th Runner).

Porky answers the door to Daffy, a pushy insurance salesman, who tries to convince Porky to sign up for a $1 million insurance policy because of getting a simple black eye (although there are some fine print to it). Although Porky is temporarily tempted, he calmly escorts Daffy to the door. However, Daffy is not about to give up - he follows Porky around the house, stopping him from doing potentially dangerous things and warning him off. For example, when Porky forgets a screwdriver in his oven, he lights a match and looks inside, pulling the screwdriver out. Daffy runs in, telling Porky about the dangers of using a match in an oven. Instead, he should have used a flashlight, as Daffy demonstrates - just as the oven explodes in his face. Still trying to convince Porky of the dangers around the house, Daffy stuffs a closet full of junk, and proceeds to ask Porky for some items (such as a golf club), with Porky each time saying he doesn't have it. By the end, Daffy is desperate and asks if Porky has a yo-yo. Porky confirms he has one, and tells Daffy it's in the back of the closet. Daffy runs to the closet and opens the door, causing all the junk to fall on HIM - although he comes out of it, glumly playing with the yo-yo. In the end, Porky is convinced that Daffy is right - the home is full of hazards (having seen all the accidents befallen Daffy), and he signs up for Daffy's policy, convinced all he has to do is get a black eye, and he'll get $1 million. Why I don't debate with Evangelists. Many Born again Christians are offended at the idea of me not wanting to debate. And many others who are fellow atheists wonder why I wouldn't even bother to engage them, to crush them with facts and figures. I have three reasons and here there are. Reason number 1 is that the arguments that they bring, have been debunked to death. The dead horses that are their thoughts and words, has been so beaten, that to add myself to such a pointless task would undermine my position. That position is that I do not believe and that's that. Reason number 2 is that evangelicals have been trained to use what would seem as a intelligent argument as a trojan horse for evangelism. I have been sensitized to such strategies, and refuse to be used as an instrument as such. You arguing with them is WHAT THEY WANT BECAUSE IT SERVES THEM!! Reason number 3 Is that I don't owe them a thing. They think they have this divine right to obtain any information or to push any information on me. Such concept is akin to a pushy salesmen trying to sell me a car with square wheels. You wouldn't consider a salesman's pitch for a car with square wheels, and why would anyone bother with someone using just as ridiculous a claim?

Word to the wise: Do not sign with this company or you will be sorry. My family and I are completely unsatisfied with this company.
