Actually, this car is named the LP500S, but sometimes people call it LP5000S - that's also what it says on the back of the car, so... allow me to say LP5000S, too ;P Built in the early 80's this car IS truly a classic. And now look at the car's condition - about 30 years later - that is just amazing and great too see in person. The car is powered by a 4.7 liter V12 engine, producing 375 hp, a maximum torque of 418 Nm @ 4500 rpm and reaching a top speed of 300 Km/h. 0-100 Km/h in 5,4 seconds. About 321 cars were built (only of the LP5000S) So it won't be that easy to find one today ;-) Video shows the car arriving with a funny sounding horn, the owner parking, the car standing with both doors up - exterior & interior shots, a start-up and the car leaving the scene again. 1982 Lamborghini Countach LP500S with Kriesseig F1-exhaust system.

The Countach was styled by Marcello Gandini of the Bertone design studio, the same designer and studio that designed the Miura. Gandini was then a young, inexperienced designer—not very experienced in the practical, ergonomic aspects of automobile design, but at the same time unhindered by them. He produced a quite striking design. The Countach shape was wide and low (42.1 inches), but not very long (only 163 inches). Its angular and wedge-shaped body was made almost entirely of flat, trapezoidal panels. LP500s 1982 saw another improvement, this time giving a bigger, more powerful 5 litre engine. The bodywork was unaltered. This version of the car is sometimes called the LP5000S, which may cause confusion with the later 5000QV (next section).

Great looking Countach! - The Countach was the predecessor to the very successful Miura. The body was designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, and given a mid-engine layout in two-door coupe configuration. It featured an attractive and curvaceous body with elegant lines and fitted with modern mechanical components and technology. The engine was mounted longitudinally and replaced the transverse layout of its predecessor. The transmission was now fitted in front of the engine offering excellent weight distribution. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a driveshaft, which ran in its own tunnel in the engine's sump. Top speed was achieved at nearly 200 mph with zero-to-sixty taking under six-seconds.

Thursday I spotted this Lamborghini Countach in combo with a SLR McLaren Roadster. I like the sound of this Countach pretty much, and I love the flames! Unfortunately it became dark, so the quality isn't at his best.

Mini-Z is a brand name for a popular line of 1:28-scale electric radio-controlled cars manufactured by Kyosho Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of various radio-controlled devices. Kyosho makes a huge number of bodies[1] for the Mini-Z. The wheelbase is nominally 94mm but can range from 86mm to 106mm. The bodies are all highly detailed, realistic looking, and fully painted with a high gloss paint. The bodies are so realistic that many are collected as display models and the bodies come with a dummy chassis and wheels for display purposes. Popular bodies for racing are the 98mm wheelbase bodies of the McLaren and Ferrari Enzo. The Enzo allows for a very wide track due to the extreme offset wheels and low center of gravity with quite a bit of steering bite due to the extreme nose on the car, while the McLaren offers lightweight and very dynamic, nimble handling. 94mm chassis are also popular for racing due to lower polar moment of inertia and weight distribution.
