In the first episode of Team USA: Britain Bound, Olympic gymnast gold-medalist Nastia Liukin explores the historic and cosmopolitan sides of London, the site of the 2012 Olympic Summer Games. She gets a bird's eye view of London on the London Eye, then takes a step back in time at Westminster Abbey. She follows that up with a visit to the O2 Arena, an Olympic venue where Liukin could potentially compete this summer. She ends her trip with a dining experience at Circus Restaurant.

I know this is kind of a dark montage and I hate to show the girls falling and making mistakes but with Classics and Nationals and Trials coming up, making mistakes could mean they don't get a spot on the Olympic Team. One mistake can mean no Olympics. These girls will have to fight through their past mistakes in order to hit and be on that team. I don't know about you but whenever I made a mistake or fell on a certain skill, it was always in the back of my mind the next time I did it. I'm sure these girls are haunted by those mistakes. Aly Raisman messed up bars at two worlds in a row which made her not place in the All Around. Rebecca Bross fell twice at worlds to lose the All Around gold. We all know what happened to Alicia at the Olympics. These mistakes don't go away. I wanted to portray this and to show that just because these girls made mistakes in their past they can fight through them in the future. I want all of these girls to make the Olympic team! But with only 5 spots, it will be a close race. I really hope every gymnast hits all of her routines and there are no mistakes and no regrets. After a three-year hiatus from the competitive gymnastics scene, 2008 Olympic Champion Nastia Liukin has returned to training with her sights set on the 2012 Olympic Games. Inside Gymnastics caught up with Liukin at the 2011 World Championship in Tokyo, Japan, where she has official FIG duties as the Athlete Representative. At this time, Liukin doesn't plan to do the All-around, but rather will focus on uneven bars and balance beam, once again teaming with father Valeri as her coach.

I attended WOGA's 2011 Valeri Liukin event this past December. Several big names in gymnastics were present and competed. My coach Vladimir Artemov was in attendance as was Matt Hicks, an aspriring athlete, Vladimir trains.
