Michal Hromcik feat. Robert Krestan - To Vis, Kravy (You Know Them Cows)
Michal -- composer, guitars, bass, samples, editing&mix. Robert -- the voice. This minisong actually is a sound collage, borrowing elements from following sources and tools: 1.Rock Salt and Nails song by Utah Phillips, namely its version with czech lyrics made by Marko Cermak (individual used parts of 1 to 2 bars long) as recorded by Druha Trava. The sounds used are the actual audio from a CD released in 2008. No alteration was made other than basic timeline editing, selection and re-ordering. New „lyrics are presented as translated to english via subtitles. 2.Work This Out song from High School Musical vol .2 few bars of drum/percussion track in second half of minisong, appropriately slowed down to fit the tempo. 3.Drum track played on Yamaha keyboard enabling to place the original waltz frame onto funky pattern (first half). 4.Additionally few electric guitar tracks and bass were recorded as played manually on strat to complete the resulting edit . 5.All the above edited and mixed down via CoolEdit 2. Plus a simple visual part added. For most listeners the original parts may not be easily recognizable. With the above hint it should work much better. The collage „song was made as non-commercial effort a week before New Years Eve 2008 - just for fun aimed to amuse especially czech listeners, since the newly edited excerpts of song with czech lyrics give completely different meaning as rearranged this way. Under the direction of Greg Douma and Judy Sagen, the Eastview High School Concert Choir performs seven well-prepared pieces. Enjoy! Literally meaning, "Where are my cows?" in Slovakian, this is a fun, entertaining song. The repeated words, "Cernusha, Belusha, Strakusha, Rohusha, etc..." are all names of cows. 1. Performed by the PCA Madrigals, the small ensemble of the PCA chorale. Kde Su Kravy Moje (by Hanns Aldo Schimmerling) is loosly translated as: "Where are my cows?" It tells the story of a girl cowherd who awakens from a nap to find that, during her slumber, her cows have wandered away over the meadows. She calls them by their names which are: Chernusa, Belusa, Strakusa, Rohusa, Pondula, Brnusa, Sivana, Babusa.
