Growing up on his movies and being able to relate to some of the characters. I absolutely fell in love with all of his movies. I do have my favorites like I'm sure everyone does! When I'm not hogged down with work or doing something else... I'm usually watching breakfast club, some kind of wonderful and pretty in pink. I grew up with John Hughes movies, and they mean as much to me now as they did when I was a boy. Planes, Trains and Automobiles, The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off were worn off the reels in my house, as well as many other Hughes classics. I recorded this cover of "Don't You Forget about Me" after re-watching the Breakfast Club about a month before John passed, as I was profoundly moved again by the film. The 82nd Oscar Awards ceremony held on Sunday .During the Oscar Awards 2010, the late John Hughesbeing honored with a special tribute. On Sunday during award ceremony a retrospective of his greatest films was shown. Not only this several actors from his films including Mathew Broderick, Anthony Michael Hall, Jon Cryer ,Macaulay Culkin, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson appeared on the stage to pay their respects. John Hughesbeing died of a heart attack back in August 6, 2009 while walking in Manhattan. He collapsed on the streets of Manhattan with chest pains. Hughes was raced to Roosevelt Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He left behind his wife, two sons and four grandsons. After his death the pilot episode of the NBC comedy Community, which was broadcast on September 17, 2009, was dedicated to Hughes. He was best known for his teenage oriented movies. The movies including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Buellers Day Off and Some Kind of Wonderful. John Hughesbeing was not only a movie maker he was also known for his adult movies like Planes, Trains and Automobiles. he gained so much fame in the 1980s and early 1990s. Kudos to One Tree Hill for doing a great tribute to John Hughes and his movies! Being that 16 Candles is my most fav. John Hughes movie EVER...I'm sooo glad that Nathan and Haley were given the epic Jake/Sam scenes! The only thing I didn't like was that they used the song "If You Were Here" (by a different artist) in the scenes they shouldn't have.
