BBC Formula 1 2012 - 02 Malaysian GP - Alonso says Ferrari have 'full trust' in Massa.mp4

Fernando Alonso says Ferrari have "full trust" in Felipe Massa despite speculation the Maranello-based outfit are thinking of dropping his Brazilian team-mate following an unimpressive start to 2012 at the Australian Grand Prix . Double world champion Alonso finished fifth in Melbourne whilst Massa retired following a collision with Bruno Senna's Williams, but the Spaniard believes Massa's performance was a "one-off" despite his patchy form since recovering from a heavy accident during qualifying for the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix . Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali also urges his team to "stay close" to a "psychologically fragile" Massa in order to allow him to allow the 11-time Grand Prix winner to "express his talent".

ItaliaspeedTV - Scuderia Ferrari Canadian Grand Prix Preview: Stefano Domenicali interview

After a year off, one of the most popular races on the Formula 1 calendar returns in the shape of the Canadian Grand Prix. The crowd is one of the most enthusiastic of the year and the entire city of Montreal seems to get swept along in a wave of excitement for a race that is often packed with incidents and changes of fortune. Coming back to Canada is also significant as it sees Formula 1 return to North America, a very important market for all teams and sponsors, especially as the United States is due to stage its own F1 comeback in two years time. Apart from last year and in 1987, the Grand Prix has been staged at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve since 1978, with Mosport and Mont Tremblant having staged the event prior to that, dating back to the inaugural Canadian GP in 1967. Scuderia Ferrari has won this event a total of eleven times, starting with Jacky Ickx in 1970, but it was the first visit to the Montreal street circuit in 1978 which really cemented Canada's passion for both Formula 1 and Ferrari when local boy Gilles Villeneuve was first past the flag in a Prancing Horse car at the track which would later be named after him. However, in recent years, it has not been a particularly lucky race for the team, whose last victory, courtesy of Michael Schumacher, dates back to 2004. Of the current driver line-up, Fernando Alonso won back in 2006, while Felipe Massa's best finish was a fourth in 2005 and the Brazilian has been particularly unlucky, penalised for failing to ...

ItaliaspeedTV - Scuderia Ferrari Abu Dhabi GP preview - Stefano Domenicali

This Sunday marks the end of a very unusual season of Formula 1 grands prix, characterised by significant technical regulation changes which in turn led to a new order, with the more established teams, including Scuderia Ferrari, having to make way for new names at the top of the classifications. While both championships were decided a fortnight ago in Brazil, this still promises to be a very interesting weekend, as it takes place at the brand new Yas Marina circuit, a facility which even makes some of the more recent additions to the calendar look slightly dated. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is a special weekend for Ferrari, as the Maranello company has several strong links to this event: Mubadala is the investment company of the government of Abu Dhabi, a shareholder in the company and a sponsor of the team. Another team sponsor, Etihad, is also the title sponsor of this race. Additionally, the Yas Marina circuit is located on the same island that is home to the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi theme park. It is due to have its official opening next year and this coming Thursday at 10.30, Ferrari SpA vice-president, Piero Ferrari will attend a press conference, when the roof of the park will be unveiled, featuring a large Prancing Horse logo. Interest in Ferrari and the Scuderia is already very high in the Gulf and on Wednesday afternoon, both Kimi Raikkonen and Giancarlo Fisichella will be in neighbouring Dubai, for the official opening of a new Ferrari store, which will be the ...

100 KM FOR FELIPE

This morning Felipe Massa was finally back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 single-seater at the Fiorano race track. It wasnt a proper test, but a way for him to regain confidence with his natural habitat: the race track. Thats why the Ferrari F1 Clienti department supplied him with a private F2007, fitted with tyres usually used exclusively in the GP2 series. Due to the rain in the morning Felipe drove around a dozen of laps, satisfied with the first impressions of the test. The thunderstorm over Maranello around 10am didnt ruin Massas day at all. In the afternoon, when the track was dry and the sun came out, he went out again and drove a total of around 100 kilometres.

ItaliaspeedTV: Ferrari Monaco GP Preview: Interviews, Massimo Rivola & Felipe Massa

This Thursday the cars will be on track for free practice at the most famous venue on the calendar, the Monaco street circuit. As was the case last year, all the teams face one of the biggest logistical challenges of the year, moving the F1 "circus" from Spain to Monte Carlo in the tightest time frame of the year. "The biggest difficulty stems from the fact that normally, we take three days to set up the motorhomes for example and now, we have to do the same work in practically one day," explains Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro's Logistics Manager, Max Balocchi. "Also, it has to be done in a much more confined space, as the Monaco motorhome paddock is so tight and all the teams arrive from Barcelona at the same time and try and finish the job as quickly as possible, because free practice at this race starts on Thursday not Friday. We get the job done by doubling up the numbers of personnel and working round the clock. Even the trucks that go from Barcelona to Monaco are kitted out with bunks so that the crew can get some sleep on the road and then, once in Monaco they get back to work, erecting the motorhome structures. We aim to be out of the Catalunya paddock early on Monday morning for what is about a ten hour journey in a truck." Building up the team units in the harbour-side paddock is a very complex operation. "We have a team of about ten logistics people along with eight truck drivers and a further ten people to build up the motorhomes in Monaco, hoping to get it all ...

Ferrari have been working hard at their Maranello testing track. They need to, to improve performance after a disastrous British Grand Prix. Brazilian Felipe Massa spun five times in the wet Silverstone track while defending champion Kimi Raikkonen missed the podium in fourth place. The win for Hamilton tied him with the two Ferrari drivers at the top of drivers standings. Ferrari is hoping to bounce back at the German Grand Prix. [Stefano Domenicali, Ferrari Sports Director]: "In Hockenheim, I am expecting another tough race. We saw that in these two or three days of testing with Kimi (Haikkonen) and Felipe (Massa) that the result was pretty encouraging." Massa ended the week's practice at Hockenheim with the fastest time. The Brazilian, was the only driver to get under the one minute 15 second barrier on the German circuit. Racing in Germany will be tight with strong challenges from not only McLaren's Hamilton but also from BMW Honda's Robert Kubica of Poland. And off-season movement has Barcelona's Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho signing for AC Milan. He will travel to Milan to undergo a physical and sign a contract through June 2011. Manchester City had also bid for the 28-year-old Brazilian. But media reports say Milan have won the race despite a smaller offer of 29.5 million dollars. Ronaldinho was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005, but was released from Barcelona after suffering form and fitness problems last season. And only a month ago, saw ...

ItaliaspeedTV - Scuderia Ferrari European Grand Prix Preview

The ninth round of this year's Formula 1 World Championship will be the twentieth running of a European Grand Prix, although the name has been used more often than that: in the early years of the championship, the title of European Grand Prix was added to that of an existing race, as an "honour," so that for example, the very first championship race, the 1950 British GP was also known as the European Grand Prix. Since then, the name has been used to get round the rule that each country can only hold one Grand Prix per year. In the past, it has been staged at Brands Hatch, the Nürburgring (the nearest it came to a permanent home, with twelve races being held in the Eifel mountains,) Donington Park and Jerez, before arriving at its current location, the Valencia street circuit in 2008. It is fair to say that the addition of a second Spanish race to the calendar is down to the popularity and success of Fernando Alonso, as until the man from Oviedo began racking up race wins and then world titles, the Spaniards had preferred their motor sport on two wheels rather than four and even the Spanish Grand Prix sometimes struggled to produce a large crowd. As for Ferrari's other driver, Felipe Massa returns to Valencia for the first time since 2008, as last year's race was the first one he missed after his Budapest accident. However, the Brazilian can claim to be unbeaten at this circuit as he won the inaugural event in 2008. Alonso's best result in Valencia was a sixth place last ...

ItaliaspeedTV - Luca di Montezemolo at Ferrari's Gestione Sportiva (Italian Language)

On the day after the Hungarian Grand Prix and following a long and in-depth debriefing this morning, Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo gathered together all the staff of the Gestione Sportiva in the Logistica pavilion to look at the current situation as the final third of the season approaches. Along with Team Principal Stefano Domenicali and the senior Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro engineers, Fernando Alonso was also present, having flown back from Budapest to Maranello last night with the team, as he is spending a few days working alongside his engineers, before the final sprint in the World Championship. Naturally, everyone at the GeS, as the Gestione Sportiva is known, is very pleased with the way the result of the last couple of races has reopened the situation in the two classifications: there was spontaneous applause for Fernando and also, in absentia for Felipe, who has already flown back to Brazil to spend the summer break with his family. However, it is clearly understood that the work load has to be stepped up even further, and it needs to be of the highest standard in order to close the technical gap to the fastest cars, which is significant, as was demonstrated yesterday in Budapest. "It was a very busy July, which ended in a very nice way for us," said Montezemolo on www.ferrari.com. "Especially when you look at where we are today, compared to one month ago. For this, I wish to thank our entire workforce, because they put in so much effort to achieve these ...

Gp Belgio 2008 (Spa) Massa vince a tavolino diretta rai uno

F1 2010: Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F10 [HD 1080p]

01/28/2010 Ferrari have become the first team to officially launch their 2010 car after unveiling the F10 on Thursday. The machine will be driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, as they attempt to return the Italian squad to title contention following a difficult 2009 season, which saw the team score just one victory. Team principal Stefano Domenicali kicked off the events proceeding, introducing Alonso and Massa to the assembled guests before finally revealing the car. The F10 is the 56th single-seater produced by Ferrari to contest the world championship and, weather permitting, will make its track debut on Friday at the team's Fiorano circuit, with Massa behind the wheel. The Brazilian, who missed the last few 2009 races after being seriously injured in an accident, was thrilled to be back. "It is undoubtedly a great pleasure to be here to present another Ferrari, he said. It is a special moment because last year was very difficult. I really feel that I want to work more than ever, so I really hope that this will be a very competitive car and that we will be fighting for the championship and that our red car, our Ferrari, will always be in pole position. We are really willing to do this and I am very happy to be here." Following Kimi Raikkonens departure, Massas new team mate for 2010 is former Renault driver Alonso. The two-time world champion was in a fighting mood at the launch event, as he predicted the F10 could be the car to reclaim his - and Ferraris ...

ItaliaspeedTV - Ferrari Christmas Party, Felipe Massa & Marc Gene interview (Spanish/Portuguese)

There were unusual guests yesterday at the Fiorano track: instead of the Prancing Horse cars, centre stage were the circus performers and animals, brought to Maranello to celebrate Christmas with all the Ferrari employees and their families. President Luca di Montezemolo and Team Principal of the Gestione Sportiva, Stefano Domenicali were also on hand to see three rather special Father Christmases, namely Felipe Massa, Luca Badoer and Marc Gene. Its the first time Ive dressed up as Father Christmas, said Massa. Its nice to be here with so many children. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone peace, health and goodwill and for those of us who work for Ferrari, obviously, my wish is that we get back to our winning ways so that we can fight for the world championship. This has been an unbelievable year for Massa, who has already had a great present in the birth of his son, Felipinho, but he asked Ferrari to also give him a present. In the next few days, the Brazilian will be back on a race track at the Mugello circuit to drive a Formula 1 car: but it wont be the F60, which he last drove at Valencia at the World Finals. Instead, he will drive an F2007, fitted with demonstration run tyres, with back-up from the Corse Clienti Department. The exact date for Felipe to do this has not yet been fixed, as the weather forecast for the Mugello area is very unsettled and it definitely will not happen today.
