On Thursday October 27th the adidas Originals Store in San Francisco kick started the adidas Originals Need for Speed The Run collaboration. The event was the last of two events in Chicago and San Francisco celebrating the collaboration and release of the limited edition Need for Speed The Run Top X shoe. Only 100 pairs of the Need for Speed The Run Top X are ever being created and there was 50 pairs of shoes available to fans at the each event. Media and fans at the events got special access to the shoes and were able to get early hands on with Need for Speed The Run. Some of the hottest cars from Need for Speed The Run were on show including one of the only Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 in North America. At both events there was a live street art installations from "Mull Crew" and guests were treated to exceptional performances by "DJ Neil Armstrong", "DJ Mick Boogie" and Chicago's own "Kids These Day." Need for Speed The Run goes on sale across the North America next week on November 15th and in Europe on November 18th.

The Do-Over crew took the journey back to The Ace Hotel and Swim Club in Palm Springs, California for their second ever full weekend (September 16 & 17) of fun in the desert sun, aka The Sleep-Over. In 2010 adidas Originals takes to the streets in a new and authentic way. The setting for the celebration is the street corner where originality lives. The adidas Originals street parties have been jumping off for a minute now and last night saw the set of the iconic, longest running UK soap Coronation Street play host to the latest iteration of the event in Manchester - a unique twist on the block party concept that was always going to be special. The night saw a stellar line-up of artists including live sets by Badly Drawn Boy, Bad Lieutenant (Featuring Bernard Sumner from New Order and Stephen Morris from Joy Division) and The Whip with a live dance performance by Jazzotech, DJ set from Craig Charles of Red Dwarf fame and an audio visual set from Cherrystones constructed from classic adidas footage thrown in for good measure. 500 invited guests were in attendance for the night including cast members from Corrie, Hollyoaks and a host VIPs, influencers and adidas enthusiasts lucky enough to score a ticket. As well as the entertainment on show adidas laid out a veritable feast with Trefoil branded cupcakes a much vaunted favourite amongst the party-goers. The Rovers pub is one of the most instantly recognisable landmarks in Corrie and it's hallowed bar stools set the scene for video interviews with Badly Drawn Boy and Bernard Sumner on the night while video messages from adidas Originals ambassadors Snoop Dogg and Ian Brown were also filmed and played exclusively for the Coronation Street party.
