Tested with a 1994 3000GT VR4. AWS is pretty visible in this video when I turn full lock. I turn full lock twice on each side, which is why you see the wheel pop out twice. At around 3/4 of the way through the video I'm jerking the steering wheel back and forth, and you can see it activate then as well. The AWS system is same phase, meaning the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels when it activates. The AWS is controlled by a system of valves at the rear differential. There's a valve that limits the AWS to above a certain speed, so it doesn't make parking more difficult. There's also a valve that activates the AWS based on a pressure differential from the two feed lines from the front power steering rack. The system is extremely stable for lane changes, and helps keep the rear end in check in corners. Professional drivers that have tested the AWS through slaloms say it makes the car feel "different" but they say it's also easier to go faster because the rear end doesn't slide out like it would with no AWS. Notice the Active Aero front air dam in the video. It pops down at around 48 mph. disclaimer: I am in no way responsible if you try this and do something stupid or hurt yourself, etc.

My 1988 Mitsubishi Galant VR4 Project, doesnt idle properly on start up because of a few things like having trailor plugs in the loom, idle screw by the plenum is just a bolt, and a few other things.. still trying to tidy it up from previous owners A/M Forged block ARP studs, Custom Oil lines, Full standard head recon new gearbox, clutch TD05 20G turbo really bad intercooler setup, chipped singleboard ecu 8 psi does alright when the IC pipes dont wana blow off haha keeps up with V8 STI's doesn't beat them but they don't get too far in front.. very rarely gets used in this state though, Hundreds of hours spent on this car to get it to where it is, things like no bolts holding gearbox onto motor just welds turbo upside down, intercooler piping waaay worse, vacuum leaks to the shit house pissing out oil, boost leaks, amongst alot of other things was fully ready for the scrap heap but back from the dead-ish should be making around 410 KW est. When its done with a couply more bits could get alot more but wanting to run it reliably and still have pretty decent fuel economy also with the current setup, gona be track, street, showpony. This is a video I took driving my VR4. Car is currently for sale Its mainly stock, but has lots of new parts and some performance parts added. Its got a new transmission, new TC, new clutch, Eibach lowering springs, 3sx downpipe, gutted pre-cats, Hallman pro Manual boost controller, K&N FIPK, Custom 3 inch single exit exhaust, 5zigen rims, Autometer oil and boost gauges. The whole car completely stripped to a bare shell and all removable body panels were taken off and the car was repainted. I've just got it at stock boost ~ 9.5 lbs.

Per request I did a walk around of my car. I have dr 750's, ets fmic and piping, precision 680cc injectors, AEM series 2 computer and 2.5" O2 housings with a custom down pipe and Ebay exhaust. Yeah I know ebay, but pipe is pipe! Changing my exhaust AND O2 housings made a HUGE difference. Spins all 4 now by just mashing the throttle at 15 psi!!!

This one owner, all original 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is an exceptional, reference quality example of an increasingly rare car. Only 231 VR-4s came out of Mitsubishi's Nagoya, Japan factory during the 1998 model year making this pristine 3000GT a member of the smallest production run ever produced. The car was originally delivered to Northtowne Mitsubishi in Kansas City, Missouri where it was sold new to the same owner who has pampered and fastidiously maintained it for the past 13 years. Averaging only 659 miles annually since the day it rolled out of the showroom, this cool Japanese muscle car has rarely seen anything other than sunshine and warm summer days. In the early 1990's, the factory performance war finally started to heat up again, but this time instead of Chevy, Ford and Mopar battling it out, it was the Japanese automakers with their turbo-charged compacts. The Japanese automakers recognized a niche for affordable sports cars and a performance war began. The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 was a direct product of that war and benefitted from technology that was very advanced for its time. Under this car's hood you'll find a 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 that has been fitted with electronic fuel injection, aluminum heads, roller rockers and two small dimension intercooled turbos. This car is also up for sale on eBay. The car has 192000 but the engine has around 45000. Mods: Matrix intake, full exhaust Tanabe Concept G, 3SX hi flow cat + down pipe, DN Performance pre-cat eliminators, Delphi 550cc injectors, TurboSmart e-Boost2 60psi, SPEC stage 4 full face clutch, Denso 255l fuel pump, MSD wires, iridium plugs, AEM fuel pressure regulator, FIC 8 piggyback, boomslang harness. It's at a 12psi tune right now, but stutters a bit sometimes at full throttle, really needs to be taken to an all wheel dyno.
