One very fast lap in a Gardner Douglas T70. Car is a real british jewel, handmade by www.gdcars.com. This one has a modified Corvette Z06 engine, with about 720 hp for 920 kilos of dry weight. Such a shame we had just finished to running in the engine and left the rpm limiter at 6500 rpm, you can here the car hitting the limiter on the main straight at about 300 kms/h. Just testing out the new HD camera, figured I might as well do a new video showing what the car is like now. Still very much a work in progress, shown by mismatched leads and cable ties. But for those who are interested, the simple specs are: Factory Unopened L27 Buick V6 Engine (decent) Chinese T70 0.70 front 0.84 rear (Running 10psi atm) DSR 38mm Wastegate with 7.4psi spring Tial "styled" 50mm Blow off valve Bosch EV1 44lb Injectors GM 2 bar MAP sensor Re-tuned delco ecu for all mods Full 3" intercooler piping with a 600x300x76 FMIC Full custom made 3" Exhaust with 2 450mm Coby's Using factory drivers manifold with custom crossover pipe merges into custom passengers manifold then into the turbo Shift kitted / Corvette servo fitted 4l60E transmission with large trans cooler Car has done upwards of 2500km since this most recent setup and has been handling it quite well, only problems so far have been the air filter, and leads melting but apart from that, it's been a real pleasure. Next on the list is some form of locked diff, and a few more psi in the intake!

GT Mod for GPL - Nurburgring in Lola T70
Finally got around to getting back into my GT rank attack. Originally I'd planned to do the 'Ring in the Mk2 GT40, however it proved to be an utterly horrible car here and after an hour of setup work I simply got fed up having beaten it down to an 8:42 laptime. I dare say it would have dropped more time if I'd continued working but setups for the Ring are so time consuming I'd lost the will to live by that point! Given my planned vehicles for the remaining circuits it was between the Mk1 GT40 and the Lola for here so I chose the Lola as it has the higher topspeed (which is of course irrelevant at the Ring meaning I'm more disadvantaged should I run the GT40 somewhere like Monza or Sebring). In contrast to the Mk2 the T70 was a joy to drive, still heavy and with questionable brakes but nice handling and a tendancy to go where I pointed it instead of following the course camber like the GT.... As you'll see this isn't an 'ideal' lap. It was about attempt number 5 so I was getting a tad bored by then and it was 6 seconds under par (Target time 8:31.9) so I went with it. It's a generally tidy lap but has numerous saves, the best/worse of which being at Planzgarten where the car attempted to be trying to cartwheel down the hill due to my getting the throttle wrong - Ironic really as I'd managed a perfect controlled jump at flugplatz! Laptime was an 8:25.15

Video starts with some footage from a diamond mine up in northern canada, (NU) and some alcohol that was caught at security. Then moves into the factory 2.4 I wrecked with a turbo. Moves into all the parts I bought to rebuild everything. Oil pan is exteneded for the 2.3 oilpump that is seen a couple pics later. The heli coils in the heads were a pain in the ass. The onto one of the best looking/built nissan Z cars of all time. A little custom cutting and welding by me. Digging an exhaust stud out of the 2.8 I-6. Making some exhaust for the '95 ACR to an SRT-4 swap, with a huge turbo. Couple of pics of the car show in morden, MB. Then moves into a couple dyno runs, starts with a 3.4 swapped cavalier, then a megasquirt srt4 swapped neon, and a mega squirted 2.8 turbo. Cobalt hptuners on the dyno, then finishes off with my cavalier, thats about it.

Precision Turbo PT6766 compared to the Ebay T70 + installation and tuning
I just recieved my new Precision Turbo Billet Wheel 505-6766 with .96 A/R and T4 flange. It is a work of ART! This thing spools up instantly and stays spooled longer than my ebay T70 ever dreamed of. The ebay turbo held up great for 11k miles but it never responded like the new Precision does. Now I'm working out the bugs in the car to take advantage of the new-found air supply. I had to greatly increase fueling at all boost levels to get the AFR back down to 10.9. And the sound of this thing is nothing short of amazing! Engine is a stock (polished) tpi intake, mildly ported L98 aluminum heads, 8.6:1 cmpression, 224/224 @ .050" hydraulic roller comp cams custom grind and SRP -24cc dish pistons.
