For roughly 40 nights a year, a small patch of blacktop in Downtown Los Angeles becomes the most sought after real estate in Southern California. It's a parking lot across the street from the Staples Center, home of the LA Lakers NBA team, and unless you're a season ticket holder or Kobe Bryant's mother you're not getting in. Or so we thought. We drive by to get a look before the game. There's a half million dollars' worth of cars in the front row alone, and a stone-faced attendant at the gate. Neither one asks to see our tickets. Just a few years ago this glimpse into how the other half lives would have never happened. Back then, Bentleys looked old and were driven by people who looked even older. Other than the Bentley name, the cars didn't have much going for them. Backyard Railroad - The New Driveway Spur
It takes about 2 months for me to complete 100 feet of 7.25 inch gauge railroad track. Here I've added a new spur that connects the main loop to the end of my driveway that will be used for loading and unloading heavy locomotives and cars. It includes a new switch, and my first ever straight bridge. All other bridges on the line are curved. At the end is a receptacle that will connect to my cable lift which is still under construction. WSTC= Warrior Skill an Training Center this is where we got to try out the simulations for the M9, M4, and M16 as well as the M1A1 Abrahms Tank. They had the convoy flip simulation as well, but since the spouses weren't squared away with full battle it would be incredibly unsafe to roll them around the simulation humvee. Regardless this was a very fun day for all the wives of 1st CAV. You should have seen their reactions for getting their first MRE's an learning how to work the thermal pack to heat the food, haha. enjoy

I went to the Area H Industrial Spur to see if there was a train on the line. As I was biking to where I wanted to go on the spur, I was in for a surprise. In this video, you will see CP T15 led by a CP Rail NRE 3GS21B-DE, and a CP Rail GMD GP9u hauling 4 cars on it's way towards Toronto Yard! This is the first and one of the 2 gensets I have caught on HD and the last time I saw a CP genset on the spur was last November! It's like they only use the gensets on the spur once a year. After the train passed me on the spur, I heard on the radio scanner that CP T15 had to stop and wait for 2 eastbound trains on the galt subdivision. I then hurried down to The CP Galt Subdivision at Bloor to catch CP T15 [for the second time] at Bloor waiting for 2 eastbound trains as said on the scanner. The first eastbound train was an eastbound CP Rail Autorack train CP 240 led by a single CP Rail GE AC4400CW. When CP 240's entire train almost passed on the south track, CP 244 goes by on the other track. According to Mike (trainboi21), and Jay (crazeejay2006), CP 244-24 was led by 2 SOO Line GMD SD60's and it got blocked out by CP 240-24 with the single GE... it was dark anyway -.-". As CP 244's entire train passed on the north track, CP T15 gets back on the move making it's way towards Toronto Yard to drop off the 4 cars. I must say again that it was very.. very awesome to see the genset on the spur. It was too bad it was dark though when I was filming it.. but on the plus side I was in a <b>...</b>
