PEUGEOT 205 T16 300bhp AMAZING FWD ACCELERATION.

This video was filmed inside a PEUGEOT 205, this car was my brother he now no longer owns it! THIS IS NOT MY CAR IT WAS MY BROTHERS Was One of the Peugeot Gti Autosport Club's Car of the Year 2005 This was the description used when selling the car! "With receipts to prove £30000 spent on the car in the last 4yrs all by myself and all on performance parts you could buy a road legal racer that has done a 12.2 sqm at santa pod and has timed 0 - 100 in 9.6 seconds, Generating well over 300bhp (RR Graphs to prove) and still retaining FWD. Engine wise the engine has been re built at the cost of £6000 by Peugeots race development firm. This included custom made pistons, and rods, seriously modified cylinder head, and slightly modified version of the camshaft found in the 306 S16. Turbo charger is a modified version of the VAT 25 rs turbocharger which has 2 actuators due to variable internals and boosts at 2.2 bar (32 psi) and settles at 1.9bar (29psi) all the way to the 7200rpm rev limiter. All of the engines cooling has been re designed with Pace making all the custom parts required. Transmition wise the 6 speed gearbox acquired from a 306 GTI-6 has been stripped and rebuilt a cosworth tunning firm to cope with just short of 400ft/lb of torque. The drive train has also been further considered with the a LSD similar to that used in the 2003 BTTC Peugeot, with similar motorsport drive shafts. Suspension wise the car has group N engine mounts, Upgraded bushes all round the car <b>...</b>
MY MIAMI BLUE PEUGEOT 205 GTI

I had a 1987 red 205 gti for 13 years and one mad day sold her for 100 pounds. As soon as she went I regretted it. Best car I ever had took me on some wonderful trips abroad to France on some great roads in the South. For two years I was without a 205 until I spotted this one In Bristol. A 1990 Miami Blue Limited Edition model. I've had her, for about 4 years, She is not perfect , but I am slowly getting round to all those little things that need to be done. I hope I never have to sell her . She went to Le mans last year , I hope the first of many to come Foreign trips. They are just great cars. Song by ERICA SHINE , Track , When will it end .

Acceleration. Engine specs: 130hp/6000rpm and 161nm/4750rpm. So it`s stock. Engine give over 90% torque between 2500-6000rpm, what mean that engine give almost 150nm between this reving area and max 161nm is so near. So it`s not high reving engine altought it`s GTI . Big torque area makes easy to drive, you don´t have always rev so much that you can enduring power and torgue area. And wheight is only 875-880kg. And stock 0-100 number is 7,8s. Power/weight ratio is: 6,76 Torque/wheight ratio is: 5,46 And Power/Torque/weight ratio is: 6,76+5,46=12,22:2=6,11 What mean that, if you have car what weight is for example 1300kg, (and very many little car`s weight is like that today) you need 192hp that you have same power/weight ratio. And 238nm that you have same torque/weight ratio. But what if in my 205 1.9 gti have 192hp and 238nm, then it`s would be very very fast:D Maybe then under 6second 0-100. I don`t Know. But it`s nice to think it=) So what we can think, today car`s are too heavy, every year come heavier and heavier car`s and if they want keep same acceleration, they have to take more power again and again and its`s give bad fuel economy. So if car is light, don`t have take so much power from engine, and you have still fast car with wide/big torque area and good fuel economy and engine life is long. When i buy this car, and before when i test it first time, i wait high rpm engine, but no, it not. But now i can enjoy engine like this=) I don`t miss anymore high rpm engine.
Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Série 200

The Peugeot 205 T16 was created to homologate the 205 T16 Group B Rally Car. Peugeot had to produce 200 road-going examples, the road variants shared the transverse mid-engine, four-wheel drive layout of the rally car, but had less than half the power; at around 200 HP. The T was for Turbo; the 16 stands for 16 valves, an uncommon feature at that time for turbocharged engines. Outwardly similar to a normal 205, the T16 had wider wheel arches, and the whole rear section lifted up to give access to the engine. Underneath, the complex drivetrain from the rally car was kept to abide by the Group B rules.
