I've already shown some of the 'London Party' mode in "Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games", but before I finish up 'London Party', I'd like to show all of the single events that the game has to offer. I'm not going to try and aim for gold each time, but I will try to get at least a bronze per event before I can move on. To start off our list of events, we're doing all of the athletics (track & field) events in one video. Mario is doing the 100m sprint [gold medal]; Luigi is doing the long jump [gold medal]; Sonic is doing the 110m hurdles [silver medal]; Donkey Kong is doing the hammer throw [gold medal]; me, my brother Jared, Mario, and Sonic are doing 4x100m relay [gold medal]; Knuckles is doing the javelin throw [gold medal]; and Wario is doing the discus throw [gold medal].

He took time out to meet some of Brunel's up-and-coming athletes at the University's Indoor Athletics Centre on the West London campus. The athletes, Ashley Bryant, Junior Ejehu, Stephanie Gaynor and Shakira Whight, had the chance to question the triple Olympic Champion on his approach to training and competition as well as his love of fast cars and Manchester United. Usain Bolt is the fastest man of all-time. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing the Jamaican won the 100m in a world record time of 9.69s. He went on to win the 200m in another world record of 19.30s, eclipsing the mark of the legendary Michael Johnson from 1996. In the 4 x 100m relay Bolt and his Jamaican teammates (including former world record holder Asafa Powell) took another gold medal in a world record time of 37.10s. His achievements in 2008 earned Bolt the awards of Laureus World Sportsman of the Year and BBC International Sports Personality of the Year. In 2009 Bolt and the Racers Track Club team had their training base at Brunel University for the summer season. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin that year Bolt again won the 100m in a new world record of 9.58s, took the 200m in a world record of 19.19s, and he anchored the Jamaican 4 x 100m relay team to gold in 37.31s. 4x100 Meter Relay Finally. I break one of my records. I guess not even video game characters can run long distance without pacing themselves. Since in the 100s they're able to run as fast as possible, but in the 400s they have to pace themselves. I'm not sure if they're was anyway for me to do better on this... Unless... Pole Vault Here you see this event has almost the same controls as High Jump, but when you plant the pole you have to quickly shake the controls to have better recoil in the pole when you jump. Which is the only really hard thing about this event. Ugh. I make the stupid mistake of trying to go from 6.04 to 6.16 a .12 meter jump and it was the end of me. I just couldn't get over it. So then you get to see that if you do beat an Olympic/World Record you won't get that record if a computer player beats you.

400 meter Hurdles This event is not as easy as it looks. Remember how you're supposed keep a good pace? Well how I do that is by keeping my eye on that little speed monitor while shaking the Nunchuck. But then I also have to keep an eye out for them Hurdles. Now about why Wario is such a good choice for this event. See how low Wario's Speed stat is (and how short his legs are) ? All that doesn't matter. Did you see how far he was able to sprint; almost the whole last 100 meters. So for all you people that are told you can't do something because you're not ____ enough. Let Wario be a role model for all of you. Oh... well maybe the parade of fail doesn't start now... But it will in the next events.

He nearly stopped running at around the 130m mark only to re-accelerate and finish in the all important 4th place to qualify for the finals. Unfortunately he was unable to compete in the final, but this race remains extremely impressive. Cameron has gone on to be one of the more influential people in Jamaican athletics and a huge role model for so many Caribbean athletes! Enjoy the action!
