The San Rafael Farmers Market is the largest local farmers market in Marin County with up to 150 growers, food purveyors and artisans. This market is held on Thursday's and Sunday's from 8AM to 1PM at the San Rafael Civic Center, famous world wide for its Frank Lloyd Wright architectural design. One of the mentionable features of this particular market is that all of the vendors are Certified California Producers and deliver their fresh produce and goods from a maximum 200 mile radius. Most vendors however grow and/or produce within a 15-30 mile radius, all of which promotes high nutrient based foods, sustainable farming and a healthy local economy.

Back in the rail building boom of the 19th century, a number of tunnels in the area were built by ex-49'ers who were leaving the gold fields for more stable employment. I go searching for one of them outside of the old downtown of Corte Madera. The original tunnel was built by the North Pacific Coast RR, and after the merger into the Northwest Pacific RR, widened and reinforced. The other end of the tunnel is all caved in. In April and May of 2011 One Bay Area had hosted" public input" meetings and an additional set of in January 2012 to showcase their vision and to solicit public feedback. This is one of those meetings. Lead by Heather Gass, concerned citizens were irate with this propose plan and the unfair and manipulative manor in which the meetings are conducted - known as the "Delphi Technique". Agenda 21 is the Master Plan put forth by the United Nations in 1992 and adopted by President Bill Clinton. Agenda 21 is a green initiative which targets cars and people living outside from cities who must commute. Their goal is to develop large, congested city centers for people to reside, and provide mass transit for the city dwellers to commute to work. It also targets large parcels of land in the world, including the United States, to be redistricted to "open space land", thereby making it undevelopable. Agenda 21 was readily adopted in California by liberal politicians, specifically in the San Francisco Bay Area, under the name "Plan Bay Area". Plan Bay Area's goal is to develop large congested downtown metro areas, with shops, stores, theaters, and mass high rise housing. They aim to get people out of their private suburban residences and cars, and warehouse them in these large metro areas. These areas will also house California's large illegal immigrant population. This is what it's like to live in Marin County most of the year. And I've shot so much of the fog as still images, that I almost grew bored with it and stopped going to the top of the mountain. Saved by a new appreciation for time-lapse photography, I returned to the top of Mt. Tamalpais one afternoon to shoot this nice sequence. Once again, I decided to use ancient music I recorded of myself back in early college days (1980) as the soundtrack. I play everything but the drums, which were done by my old friend Terry Libby. I'd like to find him again someday. Much as I like this video, it's a tad long at 3 minutes. I should have shaved 30 seconds and ended just after the sunset sequence. But, I wanted to finish the song....
