This past Thursday, the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid made its driving debut on a closed road in Monterey California, just days prior to its appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. After being shipped over from Germany by plane, engineers handed the keys of the new 918 Spyder Hybrid to Porsche AG Design Chief Michael Mauer. The car drove under its own power which comes from the mid mounted 3.4 liter V8 out of the RS Spyder as well as in all electric mode which powers just the front wheels. The 918 Spyder prototype combines high-tech racing features and electro-mobility to offer a fascinating range of qualities: An emission level of just 70 grams CO2 per kilometre on fuel consumption of three litres/100 kilometres (equal to 94 mpg imp) truly outstanding even for an ultra-compact city car, on the one hand, combined with the performance of a super sports car and acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just under 3.2 seconds, top speed of 320 km/h (198 mph) plus, and a lap time on the Nordschleife of Nürburgring in less than 7:30 minutes, faster than even the Porsche Carrera GT, on the other.

Honda Tests NSX-GT FR Hybrid
What a surprise... Nobody, and even none of the auto media could see this coming. At a regular "Super GT Test Day" held at TwinRing Motegi on October 2010, Honda NSX-GT suddenly showed up with no official announcement. Honda already has HSV for Super GT. Why now NSX-GT? [Story] The vehicle has the looking of NSX-GT, but what lies under the body kit is a "FR" vehicle. The exact same car was previously spotted just once on 2007 when it was announced that Super GT regulation would change from 2009 and only "3.4L FR" race cars will be allowed. NSX-GT being a "3.5L mid-ship", it was apparent that the new regulation was designed to shut out NSX-GT from Super GT. Honda needed to make a tough decision at that time whether to make a FR version of NSX-GT, or stop racing. The car spotted on 2007 was a result of Honda's ultimate struggle - its hood awkwardly stretched to store engine in front, sticking exhaust pipes from the side instead of rear, and roof-top air intake became useless and had scaled down. Eventually, Honda managed to survive in racing in Super GT by developing a new 3.4L FR vehicle, HSV-010 GT on 2010. And what had happened to that "FR NSX-GT"? There was no doubt of it being scrapped and gone forever, after all it became a useless prototype race car. The set-up probably did not go well, and above all, who would like to see a FR NSX? [NSX-GT with KERS] But it turned out that "FR NSX-GT" was still alive, secretly stored inside the garage of Honda R&D team for 3 years <b>...</b>

Pictures and footage of AMAZING CREATURES. We see all sorts of genetic hybrids in the records left by our ancient ancestors. Our human scientists are just now repeating history as "gods of the new age," by creating hybrid creatures in labs. Furthermore, many of the strange amazing creatures that were written off as mythology have now been proven REAL. The Kracken, a giant squid type creature was assumed to be nothing more than marine folklore... until a giant squid washed up on shore, that was as tall as a 6 story building (over 55 feet.) And many scoff at the loch Ness Monster or Champ from Lake Champlaign... yet you can see from these pictures that we have captured and photographed many GIGANTIC sea serpents and land serpents. Furthermore, archeologists have recovered many Gigantic reptile skeletons, yet they refuse to admit they confirm the records of our ancestors about dragons, leviathon and other giant reptiles reigning on earth... instead they just call the dinosaurs, and dismiss all other evidence as mythology. Audi Q5 Hybrid quattro revealed - design
Whether intentional or not Audi has released the first details of the 2011 Q5 Hybrid ahead of its unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show. On the styling front, there doesn't appear to be any major changes except for new wheels which are undoubtedly wrapped in low-rolling resistance tires. Inside, there's a revised instrument cluster (which provides an overview of the hybrid system) and a smaller luggage compartment which holds 480 liters (17 cubic feet) of cargo. Like the A8 Hybrid concept, power is provided by a 155 kW (211 PS / 208 hp) 2.0-liter TFSI petrol engine and a 33 kW (45 PS / 44 hp) electric motor. Producing a combined 180 kW (245 PS / 241 hp) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, the Q5 Hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 222 km/h (138 mph). Furthermore, the crossover can run on electricity-alone but only up to 3 km (1.9 miles). Additional information will be released later this month, so stay tuned for continuing coverage.
