Message to all you cocks that think you know better: It IS GT5 and you DO NEED the clutch when changing gear. You press triangle when the race starts then the clutch is fully functional. If you dont press it you can change gear without the clutch. Also, left foot braking is a common race technique so all you kids please go and play Mario Kart and leave us GT5 fans alone. Please refrain from the 'OMG you can buy a real car for the same amount of money blah blah blah' comments. I have a real car (2 in fact), both have a manual gearbox (not 'stick shift' like some of you SPASTICS like to call it) so yes I can drive a manual. We in the UK are blessed with that talent. Oh and the gearbox is on the left hand side because a) thats where it is in my 'REAL' cars and b) because I fucking want it there. G25 with GT5:P on PS3. This time i'm using the manual shifter with clutch. My gearstick holder FINALLY arrived!

It's a new game, people want to know how the physics have changed...I'm testing the game physics out. I'm not running time trials. Playing GT5 Prologue with the Logitech G25 wheel. Day 1 of demo. I started out playing the game first by exploring the drifting side of it. Its just something that I enjoy most so it began this way. I'm an avid fan of drifting in games and real life drifting as well. I do so with my car in real life as well. Wanted to give out that background information some before going on. Playing the game with a 900 degree driving wheel is the ideal way of experiencing GT5. I have not even tried playing with the controller yet, so my review is all based on using the Logitech G25 wheel. I've applied the same techniques here to the game that I would have in real life at the race tracks with my S2000. Granted I take more risk in the video game :) After playing this for two days now I feel very good about the physics engine. The developers have done a fantastic job improving on GT4. I can't even play GT4 the same anymore after playing this! I don't want to play GT4 after this! Serious. GT4 had good fundamentals, I'm not bashing it, just using it for comparision. I still have love for that game too, but GT5 Prologue Demo has definitely improved on the driving dynamics in regards to braking, tire grip and feel, understeer to oversteer transitions, countersteering and throttle steering control. This is not a full review like everybody makes. This is only a pure noise comparison video for the Logitech G25 and G27. I made this video because I couldn't find a useful (gear) noise comparison video on the whole internet. The G27 has straight gears which makes a lot of noise, while the G27 is very quiet with its helical gears! What a huge difference! The G27 appears to be a lot smoother too. And even the gearbox of the G27 feels way better, more solid and robust, ant it's quieter too.
