Filmed in 2009. Proving that age is just a number Ernestine Shepherd is currently being courted by the Guiness Book of Records as the oldest competing female bodybuilder. Shepard started weight lifting at the tender age of 56, now 73 she trains with former Mr. Universe Yohannie Shambourger. Her passion for staying in shape has lead her to become a certified personal trainer. Shepard runs 80 miles per week and can bench press 150 pounds, she currently teaches exercise classes at Union Memorial United Methodist Church.

You can run, walk, stretch, do push-ups, sit-ups, and even jumprope. Why not start a walking club this Fall or next Spring. Look for other activities that you can do while you're there with the outside equipment. Use the kids monkey bars. Use what ever you have available. The idea is to get stronger and stronger. Challenge yourself. You WILL get STRONGER. USE what you got to get what you want. You know the drill. If you do what everyone else is doing, you will get the results that everyone else is getting. Don't do what everyone else is doing and watch your results multiply. Don't take the easy road. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

Burn Belly Fat With The Jumprope | Black Women Workout | Athletic Black Women


www.facebook.com There are lots of ways to lose belly fat. Some will argue that you can stop train to get there. It's not true. However, you can do so much for yourself by jumping rope or using some for of cardio to burn fat and combining it with strength training. Jumping rope burns more calories than walking or even jogging. In just a couple of months, I was able to see a significant improvement around my waist jumping rope. It wasn't my intention, but one of the benefits of jumping rope. Try not to jump on hard surfaces and practice at least 3-4 times a week. Start with 5 minutes, then work yourself up to 10 minutes. Then work yourself up to 15 minutes. Don't get frustrated. You will have to start and stop. Learn to appreciate sweat. Raise the intensity of your workout whenever and wherever you can. And most of all, celebrate your victories. DARE TO BE DIFFERENT.

Right now I am going to teach you how to do a belly dance hip roll. We are going to do them two ways: hip rolls on the up and hip rolls on the down. The first thing I want you to do is stand in basic belly dance posture, knees soft, tailbone tucked, chest lifted and shoulders down. So, I am going to start by imagining there is a pencil come straight out of my hipbone and I want to draw a circle on the wall in front of me. I am going to bend the knees deeply, press the hip out to the side, lift up to the ball of the foot, and then pull back into center. So I am drawing down, out, lifting the heel, contracting the obliques, and pulling into center. When I smooth that out, down, out, up and in. Down, out, up and in. Down, out, up and in. You want to be mindful that the tailbone does not tip back, pushing the bottom out. You want to imagine you are stuck between two planes of glass and you can only move sideways. Down, out, contracting the obliques, pulling back into center. Let us try it on the other side. Bending the knees, sliding the pelvis up to the left, lifting the heel and pulling into center. Down, out, up and in. Now let us try alternating right side to left side. This can be a little bit tricky. As I lift my hip up on the right, I am going to transition on a diagonal down and over to the other side <b>...</b>
