SNES Aladdin
What a gem by Capcom! Capcom always did wonderful jobs with their Disney licenses and Aladdin was no different. A really great platform game that used really well the original movie as inspiration, even if I did have a hard time on some fo the flying carpet levels. Its also very fun to compare this one to the Genesis one, by Shinny. Its the perfect "video game made in Japan" vs "video Game made in the USA" debate. I was never able to figure out wich one is better, so, I own both. :)

Original version, from the 1992-1993 movie. Had to apply a little bit of movie maker to get the audio with the movie back together. Hate censure. Pay attention to the 4th and 5th verses (where they cutt off your ears, if they don't like your face) which were changed into "where it's flat and immense, and the heat is intense" in the new DVD version. Pathetic.

I didnt really pay much attention to the other composers, but I have discovered that most of them are treasures, and Im glad that I have started listening to their music. Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp
This cartoon is one of the best made by Ub Iwerks in the few years he spent helming his own studio. It's a jazzy take on the ALADDIN fairy tale, with a gorgeous score and great animation, one of the most distinctive cartoons ever produced. It was often aired as filler between movies on the American pay-cable network HBO in the early 1980s. A few seconds of this public domain cartoon were used in the introductory sequence in FUTURAMA episode PARASITES LOST, 3ACV02, originally aired 1/21/2001. There are some genuinely bizarre, sexually suggestive images in this cartoon, as there were in many Ub Iwerks cartoons produced before the Hayes Office began its obnoxious censorship. Ub Iwerks was the creator of Disney's MICKEY MOUSE, and, as such, is one of the unsung heroes of animation. Seriously, it was just complete luck that I managed to turn it and hit the next chord without a mistake OO I bent the corners of the pages for smoother turns, try it if you don't mind slightly damaging your sheets So anyway, I remember I always had the hardest time trying to fix up a juicy arrangement of this song.
