Plato 's cave

Narrator: Orson Welles, Animator: Dick Oden, Music: Larry Wolff _____________________ The Allegory of the Cave, also commonly known as Myth of the Cave, Metaphor of the Cave or the Parable of the Cave, is an allegory used by the Greek philosopher Plato in his work The Republic to illustrate "our nature in its education and want of education". The allegory of the cave is written as a fictional dialogue between Plato's teacher Socrates and Plato's brother Glaucon, at the beginning of Book VII. --- Plato (428/427 BC 348/347 BC), was a Classical Greek philosopher, mathematician, writer of philosophical dialogues, and founder of the Academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the western world. Along with his mentor, Socrates, and his student, Aristotle, Plato helped to lay the foundations of Western philosophy. Plato was originally a student of Socrates, and was as much influenced by his thinking as by what he saw as his teacher's unjust death. --- CREDIT: Original uploader: user/swunurful ______________ ______ AVISO: Normas deste canal: APENAS COMENTÁRIOS INTERESSANTES FICAM. The Fat Albert Christmas Special

(Aired December 18, 1977) In another part of Philly, the Cosby Kids are rehearsing for a Christmas pageant at their junkyard clubhouse, which Tyrone, the mean old junkyard owner, is fixin' to tear down. That's when Marshall & his parents show up. With their car broken down, Marshall's mom is about to have a baby and his dad, without health insurance, inspires the gang to invite them in the clubhouse for shelter. Tyrone agrees to let them stay until the baby is born, in exchange for Fat Albert working for him as a sidewalk Santa. "Ho-ho-ho's" in Fat Albert fashion ensue. After the old hobo, Mudfoot, gives Tyrone a lecture about how he's been grumpy at the world ever since his wife died, the junkyard owner has a change of heart and promises to keep the gang's clubhouse in tact.

Don't Stop Believing - Series of Classic Cartoons

My first video in over 4 years or so, now with special effects! I think it came out pretty good for being kinda rusty, but I still need to get the hand of clip-to-song sync. As for the subject? I just thought it'd be fun to make a video using "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey using clips from retro cartoon opening sequences.

One Tin Soldier - Coven - 1970s Cartoon version

Animated by John Wilson, Fine Arts Films. Basically a song about peace, One Tin Soldier, a song from the 1960s, become popular in 1970-71 as it was featured at the very end of the movie, Billy Jack. I added this to bring attention to where I found it, on OofusTwillip's channel who has a treasure of 14 other rare 1970s cartoon music videos for that era. Sesame Street - A Loaf of Bread...

Jim Simon (Wantu) playlist: www.youtube.com Jim Simon (Wantu) playlist: www.youtube.com "A loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter". From 1972, the classic animated segment about memory, which has done a pretty good job of sticking in the memories of a generation of Sesame Street viewers. Produced by Jim Simon's Wantu Enterprises, the same company that made equally distinctive animation for The Electric Company and Vegetable Soup. The voices of the mother and girl were provided by Jim Simon's sister and niece.

Jim Simon (Wantu) playlist: www.youtube.com I liked this song so much I recorded it off the television on compact cassette tape when I was a kid. Animation produced by Wantu Studios, with Jim Simon's distinctive art style that many people remember from his segments of Sesame Street, The Electric Company and Vegetable Soup. I still don't know who wrote or performed this amazing music. The lead vocalist sounds a bit like Lou Rawls, but I haven't been able to find any real information.

Sesame Street - A jazzy triangle meets a square

This one goes WAY back in my memory. It may be the most nostalgic SS segment for me, mostly because of the music. I probably first saw this in 1971 or 1972, when I was three or four years old. Kids learn the difference between a triangle and a square. Special thanks to Sesame Street Workshop for allowing me to post this video! Y2K After Effects: Saturday Morning Cartoons

It's hard to grow up from the things that you like. Saturday morning cartoons was a tradition that was around from close to 4 decades. Everything from the cartoons, the cereal, the fun of waking up early to watch your favorite shows, etc. In this video, you will see from the start of the late 70s to the beginning of the 21st century just how tenny boppin' programming killed and bastardize this once fun tradition
