The Smoker's Club (TSC) seed sprouted in the Summer of 2010 by a group of friends seeking to merge both their love of music and medicinal medicine. While putting one in the air, the idea to create an event where everyone could celebrate their favorite hobby was planted. The Smoker's Club was formed.Founding members of TSC include Cinematic Music Group President, Jonny Shipes, Shiest Bubz founder of Legendary Purple City Productions, GFCnewyork founder Steve-O, Harlem's own Smoke DZA, and Mississippi wunderkind Big KRIT Extended family includes Curren$y, The Jets, Mousa, Fiend, and CornerBoy P. In March 2010, a one-off show was planned for the music festival SXSW. The Smoker's Club's SXSW tour date was headlined by a slew of hip-hop's budding superstars like Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa, Dom Kennedy, Black Hippies, The Pricks, Smoke DZA, Big KRIT, Devin The Dude, and more. With the 500-seat venue selling-out, it became clear that the fans were feigning for another high so a 24-city tour kicked off on October 5, 2010. By the time the tour hit the west coast, the crowds jumped from 400 fans to over 1200 concert-goers. Founder Jonny Shipes explains, "I grew up off High Times and there was the "Up In Smoke Tour" which I used to go to when I was a kid. I loved Snoop, Cypress, Redman etc. Now, you have us and we're just an extension of what we grew up on. We're basically taking our lifestyle on the road to party with our supporters."
