Start Up, Rev, Exhaust & brief Tour of a 1992 Nissan 300Zx. This 1 has the normal 3,0L V6 making 222 HP while paired to a 5 Speed Manual. Decent power rating for this displacement considering it's year. & These cars are huge collectables. They're also called Fairlady Z in Japan. This car seems to have a weak Timing belt tensioner causing the timing belt to be sloppy as I heard noise coming from the belt cover & the noise smoothed out as I revved, Common Nissan V6 issue of those days

After being stored for a couple of years, we finally got a chance to take the 1990 Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo out for a few weeks! We have had the car since 1993. It is stock with about 120000 kms on it. 3.0 Litre V6 Twin Turbo charged engine making 300 bhp @ 6400 rpm (101.35 bhp per litre) and 283.0 ft lbs @ 3600 rpm. It's a 2 seater with a 5 speed, rear wheel drive and 4 wheel steering! Motor Trend Magazine named it Import Car of the Year in 1990 and Road & Track named the 300ZX Turbo as One of the Ten Best Cars in the World. The car could have been cleaner and detailed a bit better, but oh well! The movie was shot completely using the GoPro HD camera. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching! 132037: 1985 Nissan 300ZX For a generation that grew up in the 80s, the Nissan 300ZX was something we eagerly read about in the pages of our favorite car magazines. Someone obviously felt the same nostalgia, because they purchased and preserved this fabulous 1985 Nissan 300ZX, which today presents in 100% factory original condition with only 3322 original miles. Yes, 3322. No, I'm not joking. Nissan wasn't too creative with the colors, but this Dark Blue Metallic hatchback looks fantastic no matter what it's called. Beautifully preserved, this car is like new in almost every way, and for a car that's now 25 years old, that's no mean feat. Japan was already well-known for its assembly quality, and the gaps on this car are precise. The paint is par for the course in 1985, with some orange peel, but great gloss and excellent coverage, and thanks to years of buffing and shining, probably looks better now than it did when it rolled off the boat in Long Beach. A two-tone gray pinstripe stretches from end to end, an elegant touch that emphasizes that particular line on the car. The engine is a 3.0 liter single overhead cam V6, known internally as the VG30E. This one is so beautifully preserved, all the bright plated components under the hood are still shiny, the belts and hoses appear to be original, and it's obvious that someone really, really cared about this car. The aluminum bits look like they just popped out of the molds, and the bright red finish on the intake isn't faded <b>...</b>

The video is not quite as clear as I would like but I had to convert the file from my sony handycam, it does the trick though, just wait for the detailed pictures :) I chose to re upload these videos and put them all into one, then follow with a detailed slideshow of before and after. This was back in June of 2008 so NO we do not have this anymore. It did not run, the engine's timing belt went and bent the rods/valves or something in the engine so it would not engage. Someone bought it soon after I restored it and put a brand new crate engine into it, wish I could've seen it! YOU WON"T BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE BEFORE AND AFTER! This is definitely one of the top 3 details I have ever done! Please rate and enjoy!

Compression test of a newly rebuilt Na motor for the 300zx (vg30de) Okey so during the making of the video the battery died on us and i have to get a fresh one. Once we did that all cylinders tested perfect at 170psi. I also has to replace 3 injectors thats were not ohming out within spec and now all injectors are perfect at 12.6 +/- .2 ohms. Will keep the videos comming but thats it for now. Thanks for watching

The only thing that remained unchanged from the previous generation 300ZX is the 3.0-liter V6 engine, now with dual overhead camshafts (DOHC), variable valve timing (VVT) and producing a rated 222 hp (166 kW) and 198 lb·ft (268 N·m) in naturally aspirated form. The big news for enthusiasts, however, was the turbo variant, now upgraded with twin Garrett turbochargers and dual intercoolers. This was good for 300 hp (224 kW) along with 283 lb·ft (384 N·m) of torque. Performance varied from 0-60 times of 5.0-6.0 seconds depending on the source, and it had a governed top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h). Upon its release, the new 300ZX became an instant hit, winning Motor Trend's "Import Car of the Year" in 1990 as well as "One of the Top Ten Performance Cars". Automobile Magazine honors the 300ZX/300ZX Turbo as its "Design of the Year" and adds it to their "All Stars" list. Road & Track names the 300ZX Turbo "One of the Ten Best Cars in the World", and Car and Driver adds it to their 10Best for the seven years in which it was in production in America. American Z-car sales reach the one million sales mark in the 1990 model year, making it the all-time best selling sports car. Even years after production the 300ZX is still thought to be one of the most beautiful automobile designs of all time.
