EEE PC 1000H vs 1000 SSD or HDD vs SSD
Practical Performance Comparison between the hard drive and SSD versions of the EEE 1000. I found that the SSD on the 1000 was actually slower than the EEE 1000H on performing any task that significantly utilized writes to the storage system. Here's the kicker too... The SSD had 2GB of ram installed, and the 1000H had 1GB! KEEP IN MIND: This isnt to discredit all SSD drives, just the ones that come with the Eee PCs, which are very sub-par SSDs compared to the HDD replacements that are sold.

Starcraft 2 on the ASUS EEE PC 1000H (Atom 1.6, Intel-Onboard-Graphics, 2 GB RAM). I used the given graphics preferences which the program set by estimating my hardware. Maybe I can tweak a bit by using the EEE overclocking utility and changing some values in the config file to improve performance.
