god are u freakin retared @asainoutcast, the ipod touch and ipod shuffles were not made for really good sound quality; the touch is made for games; the shuffle is made for someone who listens to song s over and over again. But the ipod has the best sound quality on the market because those two ipod types (which u said are the only type u've only used before) arent made for really good sound quality, the ipods that hold 120GB have the best sound quality on the music player market!

By the way, I don't take any sides in anything, I'm just choosing which one has the best sound. And the best is Cowon and then followed by sony. I like a good overall media player so I have a Zune. Sure, if the ipod had at least ok sound quality I would definitely use one, but it doesn't. First mp3 player i had was an ipod mini because of the hype. Then I had a touch. Tried out a friend's Sony. I sold my touch to a friend after a month because I found out how much the ipod was lacking in sound.

It is quite obvious you are not an audiophile and therefore to claim that the iPod touch's sound is "rubbish" when many agree that with some good headphones and high quality mp3s, the iPod touch sound is respectable. Some argue that quality is lacking compared to other mp3 players such as Sony Walkmans but to say the iPod touch is an "insult to the word music" is absurd.

Zune? Epic fail? Ever heard of the Zune HD? Tegra Chip? OLED screen? subscriptions? No, you fail badly. The interface is a lot better than the Itouch's. Looks good, feels good, everything is good. The Zune HD is better than the itouch in everything except screen size, apps, and safari. The itouch shouldn't even be called a media player, the sound is horrible. No words to describe it.
