Why is it always so slow for them to get these cars out on the road. All you here is concept concept. I'm sick of paying the high fuel prices. I want one of these electric chargies at home for local city driving. Something decent like this with standard fuel for long range driving and electric in the city.

i have an idea, an ...
i have an idea, an eletric motor is heavy on torque right? and a wankle rotary engine has all the power at the top end correct? so why not make a hybrid with the electric motor making the low end torque and the rotary engine making the high end power. That would give good power acorss the range and since rotary engines are small you can fit the electric motor right next to it. whats everyone else think of this?

That really does make sense considering that most electric motors ive seen that do 400to 900 lbs of torque are insanely expensive when you manage to make them smaller because of the complexity. I think as all BMWs they have a first car with the Tech and then it trickles down to the rest of their cars and the original car keeps it value above all the cars that come after it. Oh how I want a diesel hybrid 4 door thats rear wheel drive ! I might just make one myself lol
